Matthews Playhouse Interns

(college students and high school students ages 16 and up)

Matthews Playhouse is accepting applications for summer interns.  Interns are college or high school students who have an interest in working with younger children in the performing arts.  Interns  must have  an ability in one of the following:

·    Music (able to teach simple songs, sing  and/or accompany on the piano)

·    Drama (create scenes or  take stories and write a play about them, direct older students in scene work)

·    Art  (create art projects that go along with the camp theme, create props and simple set pieces)

·    Dance (choreograph simple dances and in some cases, choreograph short musical shows)

It is suggested that Interns have experience in camps, classes or productions at Matthews Playhouse. Applicants can check our website for camp weeks.  Interns must be available for the entire camp week. Interns are hired week to week.  No intern is hired for every week of the summer.
