College and High School Students
Matthews Playhouse seeks summer interns for the summer of 2010. We are looking for college students as well as high school students with experience and interest in all aspects of theatre. Appointments will be made after your resume is received. You may apply on-line or by mail, but you must interview in person. Not all applicants will be granted an interview. Deadline for applying is February 15th.
Drama Camp Interns
Matthews Playhouse offers one-week summer drama camps and production camps for ages 4 thru middle school. Each camp includes art, music, drama, games and dance or movement. Summer drama camp leaders will be hired to lead the above areas. Camp themes have been selected, however interns will need to be able to plan activities and write lesson plans to follow the theme of the camp. Drama camp interns must like and work well with children and young people. Interns need to be 16 or older and pay will correspond with the intern's experience, responsibility and age.
Drama Camp Apprentices
Drama camp apprentices will assist teachers and interns in all aspects of summer drama camp. Apprentices are not paid, but will volunteer as assistants in all areas. Drama camp apprentices need to be age 13 or older.
