ABOUT SUMMER AT MATTHEWS PLAYHOUSE
 
 Matthews Playhouse offers summer drama camps that include drama, art, games, music and dance.  Each camp offers a rotation to 3 areas, lead by our professional drama, music, art and dance instructors.   Each day campers will spend time with 3 different art forms depending on the camp you have selected.  On the final day, campers will wrap up the camp activities and bring home all of their treasures.  Some camps involve a chance for you to come and see what they have been working on; others finish with a big bang on their own.

  Designed for our youngest campers! We will act out the stories, songs and dances from the movie and the book.  We will pretend to be Tigger, Eeyore, Piglet and even Christopher Robin.  We will make props to enhance our stories and act out a scene on Friday for an invited audience.

  Time travel with the American Girl Dolls and friends!  Girls will love acting out stories, learning  dances and music  and creating crafts from each special era. At the end of the week, we'll treat our dolls to a terrific celebration party. This camp will focus on the dolls: Julie, Felicity, and Addy.

  A junior version of our Broadway Boot Camp, we will introduce all the Broadway styles thru dance including: Jazz, Tap and Modern.  We will work on how to audition for a show, introduce stage combat and wind up on Friday with some activities to share with an invited audience.

  Now in its 8th summer! All Broadway! All the time!  Each day we will work on scenes and songs from a different piece of the modern musical theatre. Students will be guided through different styles of dance and vocal techniques throughout the week. By the end you'll be ready for Broadway! On Friday we'll put together what we have learned in a musical revue for an invited audience.

and agents of and from any claims, demands, liability or damage arising from the participation

Camps are filled on a first come, first served basis and size is limited so please register early. 
Partial refunds will be made with a 3 week cancellation notice, less a $25 processing fee.
A $25 administration charge will be assessed each time a camp registration is switched.
  If you are registering on-line, a $4 handling fee (shown as shipping) will be assessed.
All Campers must be designated camp age by May 1, 2011.
