Because you have attended a production at Matthews Playhouse in the past, you certainly
understand and appreciate the positive impact that our theatre has on our community.
Please take a few moments to look at all that has been accomplished at Matthews Playhouse:

• Our total ticket sales for the 2010-2011 season was 22,678 seats.

• Our summer camp program enrolled 956 young people in 36 camps.  177 students participated in our year-round classes.

• Theatre Matthews and Matthews Playhouse brought 12 productions to the stage for audiences of all ages.

• We now offer a Senior Division called The Forever Young Players.  This is a company of senior adults that enrich and engage the community through storytelling, life stories, outreach and theatrical productions.

• The theatre was able to give back to the community in many ways including donating proceeds for a production to the Matthews Historical Foundation, collecting pet food for the animal shelter during 101 Dalmatians and providing tickets to low income families.

Our ticket sales provide only about one-half of the costs of our productions.  Additional funds come from donors, grants and sponsorships.  We need the support of patrons like you.
