Class Descriptions

Broadway Babes

Broadway Babes is the perfect class for our youngest performers,

from TK-First grade! With age level performance skills, we focus on

storytelling, using stage voices, learning stage directions and working

as an ensemble. Children do not need to be able to read to enjoy

this class, and they will have a sharing in November as well as

have a small musical of their own in the Spring.

The cost for both semesters is $350.

Acting Company

Students from second through twelfth grades are invited to join us for our Acting classes. Each class is divided into grade level groups and are offered on various days and times. Please be sure to check the class schedule to sign up for your specific age level class.

In Acting classes students will learn acting skills based upon age, stage and takes reading levels into consideration. Students are taught age appropriate skills, including but not limited to the importance of storytelling, character development, improvisation skills and proper presentation and projecting.  All of those skills are then utilized for a special show in each semester.

Classes begin the week of September 13 as students work toward either a sharing on stage, or a special production called Broadway’s Back. For students in grades 6-12, Broadway’s Back will be performed for a ticketed audience on November 20th. There is no additional production fee for this special performance opportunity.

After a break for the holiday season, we will resume class on January 3 and work on audition skills. Students will audition for our spring stage play, Babe, the week of February 7, and everyone who auditions will be invited to join the cast. The play will be performed for a ticketed audience March 25-27.
