• *SAVE ON TICKET PRICES: Groups of 10 or more will receive an additional 10% off their total ticket price on all MainStage productions. The discount will be calculated automatically when more than 10 tickets are purchased together online.  This is on top of discounts we already offer to students, seniors, and members of the military. Groups that purchase their seats during the show’s 2-week “Early Bird Special” window will save an additional 15% off. Please note that group tickets must be paid for in a singular transaction- we cannot split payment.

• FREE & EASY PARKING: We have ample space for bus and van parking. Parking for all patrons is FREE and can be found adjacent to the Community Center, behind the Community Center in the “school bus parking lot” of Matthews Elementary School, and the side & rear parking lots of the First Baptist Church.

• PERSONALIZED SERVICE: Group organizers have the option of utilizing our online tools to purchase their reserved tickets, or contact our Box Office for a personalized group booking experience.

• ACCESSIBLE & FLEXIBLE SEATING: We advise arriving early, about 20-30 minutes prior to the show so audience members can be seated comfortably. **Late arrivals will not be guaranteed their reservation and will be seated at the discretion of the Matthews Playhouse staff and volunteers**

• PROMOTIONAL ASSISTANCE & RESOURCES: Logos, art, and assets to promote your trip to group members available upon request, including:

  • Large Print Programs: Large print programs (magnified 2x) are available by request.  Please contact our box office to request a large print program.  We typically require 2-3 days notice in order to have these items available.

  • Scripts: Matthews Playhouse can provide you with a copy of the script, upon request one week prior to the performance date. Scripts must be returned to the box office following the performance. These are offered free of charge, but a driver's license or valid ID is required as security.

• BACKSTAGE TOURS + ACTOR MEET & GREETS based on availability: We will be happy to arrange for a brief 15-20 minute post-show backstage tour and/or actor meet and greet for no additional charge for groups of 10 or more. To arrange a backstage tour and actor meet & greet, the group organizer must contact the box office and make arrangements at least 7 business days before the performance date.

• ACCESSIBILITY: The Matthews Playhouse of the Performing Arts is located inside the Matthews Community Center, and has the following facility is wheelchair accessible and assisted listening devices are available upon request. 

  • Assistive Listening Devices: The Fullwood Theatre is equipped with an assistive listening device system that works with either a pair of headphones or a neck-worn induction-loop (all accessories are available).  These are offered free of charge, but a driver's license or valid ID is required as security. Please request a device through the box office upon your arrival.

  • Wheelchair Access: The main entrance, Fullwood Theatre audience spaces (including the lobbies), classrooms, and all restrooms are wheelchair accessible and ADA compliant. Audience members are welcome to use the elevator located in the Matthews Community Center lobby. There are restrooms on the 1rst and 2nd floor. Any Staff person, House Manager or Usher will be happy to direct you to accessible restrooms, water fountains, etc. 

  • Accessible Seating: The Fullwood Theatre has accessible wheelchair/scooter locations.  Please inquire about this seating at the time of purchase.  There are transfer friendly seats available (with armrests that lift up), as well as removable seating, which is located in the rear of the theatre.

  • Entry and Exit Assistance: The building main entrance has ramp access from the parking lot, and a motorized door opener. We are happy to meet patrons who need additional mobility assistance at the front entrance of the Community Center. Please call our box office at 704-846-8343 upon arrival.

  • ​​Service Animals:  If you will be attending a performance with a service animal, please inform the Box Office when purchasing your tickets so that we may discuss your preferred seating location.
