We are looking for young people ages 8 - 18

101 Dalmatians will be cast, rehearsed and performed like a professional musical. 
Show will rehearse for 10 days and perform for 2 weekends and 5 mornings of camp shows.

Actors should prepare a short monologue and 18 bars of a song.
Please bring sheet music to the audition; an accompanist will be provided (please no CDs, taped music or a capella)
and wear comfortable clothes that you can move in.

  • We are looking for teens and young people ages 8-18
  • This show has a short rehearsal period of about two weeks.
    Rehearsals are typically 1:00-9:00pm, Monday-Friday and weekends.
    Not all actors are called to all rehearsals.


You must be available for all performances.

Character Breakdown

Cruella De Vil

Cruella is the rich, fashion-forward antagonist of the story who harbors a penchant for puppy fur.

Roger, married to Anita, is the soft-spoken yet confident composer and owner of Pongo and Perdita. His relaxed form of leadership acts as a contrast to the frenetic Cruella.

Anita, wife of Roger, is a sweet and nurturing painter whose kind disposition acts as a stark contrast to Cruella's cruelty.

Horace and Jasper, Cruella’s two henchmen for hire, provide the show’s comic relief à la Abbott and Costello or Laurel and Hardy.

Perdita and Pongo, the puppies’ parents, have similar dispositions to their owners, Roger and Anita.

Nanny is the warm yet outspoken housekeeper to Roger and Anita. This is a small role that requires a strong speaking voice

The Dogs of London include the Boxers, Scotties, Poodles, and Chihuahuas that assist Perdita and Pongo in saving their puppies. All should be comfortable embodying the physical movement of their particular breed.
