Camps
Themed performing-arts camps where young artists explore acting, singing, and dancing - then take the stage in a showcase performance.
Themed weeks of acting, singing and dancing for ages 4 to 18, each finishing with a sharing on our stage.
Next summer’s camps have not been announced yet. Registration usually opens in the spring - check back, or get in touch and we will let you know.

Before You Register
Drop-off, the Friday sharing, and refunds - what parents ask us most.
What actually happens at camp?
Five days of acting, singing, dancing, games and fun. Campers spend the week learning songs, dances and scenes, and put together a sharing performed on stage in the last 30 minutes of camp. Friends and family are invited.
What time is drop-off and pick-up? Is there before or after care?
Drop-off starts 10 minutes before the camp start time and pick-up begins at the listed end time. There is no before or after care.
When is the Friday sharing?
Generally within the last 30 minutes of camp, with doors opening 10 minutes before. A schedule of the sharings is posted on the office door.
Do you record the sharing?
We do not record it, but you are very welcome to record and share it yourself.
Someone else is picking up my child - what do I do?
Give us the name and phone number of the person collecting them.
Do you offer financial assistance?
Scholarships are available for students with financial need. Please complete a full application, including the necessary tax documentation, so we can process it properly.
What is the refund policy?
Cancellations are accepted up to three weeks (21 days) before camp starts, refunded minus a $50 administrative fee. Within three weeks of the first day no refunds are given. The $50 fee also applies to any registration change not initiated by Matthews Playhouse.
A Day at Camp
Campers spend the day rotating through acting, music, and movement with our teaching artists, building toward a showcase on the Fullwood Theatre stage.
- Full-day and half-day sessions to fit your summer
- Campers grouped by age, with counselors on hand
- Acting, singing, and movement every day
- A final showcase for family and friends
