Broadway Kids

2026-2027 School of Theatre

1st-2nd Grade

Tuesday OR Thursday, 5:30-6:30 pm

Broadway Kids is a fun, hour-long, year-long theatre class for 1st–2nd grade students.

The year culminates in a fully staged spring performance for family and friends. This production includes Benny and the Jett: The Musical, an original ensemble-based musical in which all students are featured.

Step into a gentle, imaginative world where friendship takes center stage. Benny and the Jett: The Musical follows Benny, a dog who believes he’s a boy, and his best friend Jett, who is perfectly content being a dog. Together, they move through a big day filled with music, movement, and moments of courage as they discover what it means to shine in their own way.

Through playful scenes, ensemble songs, and expressive movement, this original musical celebrates confidence, empathy, and supporting one another—even when friends are different.

This class introduces young performers to storytelling through movement, music, and imaginative play. This is a developmentally appropriate introduction to performing arts designed to build comfort, confidence, and joy on stage.

Class Time

5:30-6:30 pm (Students will choose a consistent weekly day: Tuesday or Thursday)

*On the first day of class (9/8 or 9/10), we ask that both you and your student come in together for a brief introduction meeting. During this time, we will go over what the program will look like, what to expect throughout the session, important procedures, communication expectations, and answer any questions you may have before we begin!*

Class Dates (September-January)

*All rehearsal, audition, and performance dates are released early (June 1, 2026) to allow families time to plan.*
