PLEASE NOTE: Students who participate in the fall and/or winter Semester of School of Theatre (SOT) are invited to audition for the 2024 Spring School of Theatre (SOT) Performance, and will be eligible for a role based on availability. Receiving a role is not guaranteed.

Broadway Kids

Offered: Winter 2024; Tuesdays OR Thursdays

Fee: $200/per semester

Class Description:

Broadway Kids is for students in the 1st-2nd Grade.

This class is designed to encourage a love of theatre, build confidence in public speaking, and promote concentration and memorization skills. Theatre games and activities will build basic skills for listening and following directions, memorizing lines, learning cues, and remembering places for the stage. Each week will be filled with imagination, stories, music, dance, games and fun. We will work together to prepare a short skit to share with the family and friends on the last day of class.

(The Winter Semester will differ from the fall in order that students may participate in both semesters without repeating material)
