School of Theatre Classes

Welcome to the School of Theatre

Where Every Student’s Journey Matters

Classes begin in SEPTEMBER so register today to secure your spot!

School of Theatre (SOT) is a year-long training program that builds toward a fully staged spring production experience.

This is a seamless, intentional journey designed to develop confident, skilled performers through progressive training, rehearsal preparation, and live performance.

Our program is built around three core areas of growth:

  • Foundational theatre technique

  • Audition and performance preparation

  • Hands-on rehearsal and production experience

This structured progression ensures consistent growth, confidence, and creativity throughout the year.

Students will:

  • Gain hands-on rehearsal experience with professional guidance

  • Develop essential audition and performance skills

  • Build stage presence and confidence

Important Commitment Information and Requirements

School of Theatre is a performance-based program, and consistent attendance is essential to the success of the cast, rehearsal process, and overall production experience.

Families should carefully review all schedules and commitment dates before registering.

Please note:

  • Students may miss a maximum of TWO rehearsals during the production phase (February–March)

  • ALL Tech Week rehearsals are mandatory. Students unable to attend Tech Week rehearsals are not eligible to participate in the production.

  • Students must attend ALL scheduled performances.

  • Illnesses and family emergencies will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

The full calendar is provided in advance so families can plan accordingly before committing to the program.

Because casting, staging, choreography, music assignments, and production planning are built around student participation and attendance, students who exceed the allowed absences or miss mandatory rehearsals or performances will be removed from the production and will no longer be eligible to participate in performances.

Performance conflicts, outside activities, vacations, sports schedules, and overlapping commitments are not considered excused absences once a student has committed to the production.

Tech Week is a required part of the production process where students rehearse with lighting, sound, costumes, scenery, microphones, projections, scene transitions, and full technical elements as an ensemble. Attendance is mandatory for all cast members. NO EXCEPTIONS

How to Choose the Right School of Theatre Program

We want families to feel confident selecting the option that best fits their student and your family’s schedule.

NEW THIS YEAR — students register directly into a specific production track from the beginning of the season, allowing families to plan ahead with all major rehearsal, Tech Week, and performance dates provided in advance.

STEP 1 — Start with Your Schedule First

Before choosing a program, families should carefully review:

✔  Weekly class day/time

✔  Spring rehearsal schedule

✔  Tech Week dates

✔  Performance weekend

✔  Overall family time commitment

The full calendar is provided in advance so families can plan accordingly before registering.

STEP 2 — Choose the Program Experience

Once you have reviewed your family’s availability and commitment level, explore the available production options by grade level to find the best fit for your student’s interests, age group, and performance goals.

Grades 3–8 have multiple production track options available, so families are encouraged to compare:

✔ Class days

✔ Rehearsal schedules

✔ Performance weekends

✔ Overall commitment level

Each production track offers a different rehearsal schedule, performance weekend, and overall experience while maintaining the same School of Theatre training philosophy and educational focus.

STEP 3 — Register Today!

Our programs do tend to fill up quickly, so we recommend registering as soon as you can!
