The Playwrights' Festival is an initiative to promote Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the local theatre community by highlighting original works by Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC). We're excited to announce that the festival is currently undergoing a transformative hiatus, with plans to return in 2025 bigger, better, and more inclusive than ever before.

While we're taking this pause to enhance the festival's offerings, streamline processes, and foster a more diverse and inclusive platform for playwrights, we're also eagerly anticipating the opportunity to showcase the incredible talent and creativity of local and regional playwrights in the upcoming edition. Stay tuned for updates as we work diligently behind the scenes to ensure that the Playwright's Festival continues to be a celebration of new works, theatrical artistry and innovation.
