Taylor's Eras Jr (Half Day)

Calling all Swifties! Matthews Playhouse is bringing the Eras tour to the stage. In this camp, we're making the whole place shimmer with songs honoring the eras of the beloved singer-songwriter. You’ll be singing and dancing alongside fellow Swifties to create our own show, made of songs chosen by you! Are you ready for it?

K-Pop Demon Hunters Jr (Half Day)

Ages 4 - 8

9:30 am - 12:30 pm

We’re gonna show you how it’s done! In this full-day camp, young performers bring the movie’s exciting K-Pop Demon Hunters world from screen to stage. Campers will learn choreography and sing songs inspired by the film’s standout songs, including “Takedown,” “Soda Pop,” and “Golden,” while also acting in scenes from the movie.

K-Pop Demon Hunters 3 (Full Day)

Ages 8 - 15

9:30 am - 3:30 pm

Step into the world of Rydell High through upbeat scene work, character exploration, and storytelling through song. Campers will work with material inspired by iconic moments and songs like “Summer Nights,” “Greased Lightnin’,” and “We Go Together,” learning how energy, ensemble work, and expressive staging bring this 1950s world to life. The week wraps up with an on-stage sharing that celebrates their creativity, confidence, and spirited interpretation of this beloved musical.

Week of July 13-17, 2026

Bluey (Half Day)

Ages 4-6

9:00 am -12:00 pm

Come and play just like Bluey and Bingo! We’ll have a great time exploring our imaginations and learning how playing leads to being a great actor. Throughout the week, students work together to transform Bluey’s games into mini scenes, songs, and ensemble moments. The camp concludes with a joyful on-stage sharing that celebrates their imagination, teamwork, and love for the Heelers’ world.

Disney Mania (Half Day)

We are celebrating all things Disney! We’ll pick some of our favorite movies and put together a medley of fun! Our show will feature songs and scenes from Aladdin, The Lion King, Frozen, and more! We’ll share our fun with our family and friends on Friday.

Hairspray (Full Day)

Ages 10 - 17

9:00 am - 3:00 pm

This full-day camp brings the vibrant world of 1960s Baltimore to the stage. Campers will learn choreography from iconic songs like “Good Morning Baltimore,” “You Can’t Stop the Beat,” and “Run and Tell That,” learning how rhythm, collaboration, and expressive performance bring Tracy’s world to life. The week wraps up with an on-stage sharing on the set of our mainstage show “Hairspray”! Don’t miss this special opportunity!

Week of July 27-31, 2026

Hamilton 1 (Full Day)

Ages 8 - 15

9:00 am - 3:00 pm

Come be “in the room where it happens” as we party like it’s 1776! This week-long adventure will be spent learning more about the real stories behind the characters from the Grammy, Tony, and Pulitzer Prize-winning hit musical, Hamilton. We'll face off in epic rap duels and learn choreography based on the original Broadway production. Our Production will include our own original work.

Wicked 2 (Full Day)

Ages 8 - 15

9:30 am - 3:30 pm

We defy gravity exploring one of the most popular musicals of all time: Wicked! Students will learn songs, dances and acting challenges from the hit Broadway musical “Wicked.” Through drama games, improv, music, and movement, students will collaborate and present their original work in a one-of-a-kind performance to share with family and friends.

Mystery Theatre: Who Done it? (Full Day)

Ages 9 – 15

10:00 am - 4:00 pm

This acting-based whodunit camp puts students center stage as both detectives and suspects in an original mystery they build together. Campers will use improvisation, character development, and scene work to create unique suspects with motives, secrets, and alibis, then dive into dramatic interrogation scenes and clue-filled storytelling to unravel the case. Each day strengthens acting skills through expressive choices, ensemble play, and imaginative problem-solving. The week concludes with an engaging on-stage sharing where families follow the clues and watch the young actors bring their mystery to life.

Inside Out (Half Day)

Ages 4 - 7

9:30 am - 12:30 pm

Join us in the imaginative world of Inside Out, the story of Riley and her team of emotions—Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear, and Disgust—as they navigate the ups and downs of growing up. Through exciting acting games, colorful crafts, and storytelling, campers will explore the power of emotions and the importance of teamwork and understanding. They’ll bring Riley’s journey to life and share this story in a heartfelt showcase on Friday!
